   The Founder
Daryl B Hughes is a Retired New York City Police Detective, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and now residing in Macon, Georgia. He has Been living in Georgia since 2004. He had a distinguished career in the police department having served in Anti-Crime, Robbery and narcotics unit. He spent ten years working undercover with the U S Dept. Of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration NY Drug Enforcement Task Force where he earned many awards and accolades.  In December of 2014 he was diagnosed with Cancer and other illnesses derived from his service as a first responder at the world Trade Center on 9/11/2001.

He has volunteered with several organizations over the years and is always giving back to the community.

His parents were born and raised in Twiggs County, Georgia where his father the Honorable Robert L. Hughes Jr returned to upon his retirement from the New York Police Department and eventually became the Chief Magistrate Judge of Twiggs County. He passed away from Cancer in October 2019.

This Non-profit was started in memory of Honorable Robert L. Hughes Jr.

                                            Honorable Robert L Hughes Jr.

Robert L Hughes Jr. was born and raised in Jeffersonville, Twiggs County, Georgia.

After graduating High School as the Valedictorian of his class he attended Morehouse University in Atlanta, Georgia before enlisting in the U S Airforce.

Upon completion of his military service, he settled with his high school sweetheart and wife Ruby Jean Hughes (nee Cabiness) in Brooklyn, New York where they would raise 5 successful children. He would eventually join the New York City Police Department where he attained the rank of Detective. Upon retiring from the Police Department, he returned to his hometown of Jeffersonville, Georgia where he became the Chief Magistrate Judge a position he held for ten years.

Opens communications between community and officers. • Can be initiated in schools utilizing resource officers and spread out to community through youth involvement 2. Community can discuss their concerns and get advice as they talk. • Share experiences, remind community that Officers are human and have families • Remind community that, Officers are here to help but their involvement is crucial 3. Community interaction will aid in crime and safety education and reduction. 4. Talking with the community and giving insight into what Officers deal with can aid in the recruitment of candidates for the department.
